In my application papers (my membership number is on the front, #1273), I used the lineage of Thomas Gascoigne's mother, the widow Anna Hobbes Mompesson. Please make a note on your set of my papers that in Gen. 14, the word "after" or "aft" should be inserted before the date 22 May 1569. Although her second marriage (to Henry Gascoigne of Yorkshire) is shown in the Visitation Records of Wiltshire, where the marriage took place (Salisbury), and in the Visitation Records of Yorkshire where the groom was born and the lived, the exact date is not shown.

Wiltshire Visitation Books of 1623 make it clear Henry is from Yorkshire (which borders the North Sea) and widow Anna is from Salisbury (in southwest England).
