Thomas H. Youngblood (06-05-2009)
GUEYDAN ? Memorial services for Mr. Thomas Hubert Youngblood, 77, will be held at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Youngblood died at 10:50 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Youngblood was a resident of Gueydan and a graduate of Louisiana Tech, with a bachelor of science degree in geology. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict as a member of the Corp of Engineers.

Survivors includes his wife, Peggy Cormier Youngblood; two sisters, Janae Harpool of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Evelyn (Harold) Roberson of Natchitoches;
three daughters, Tomi Sue Womach of Roseville, Calif., Susan Youngblood of Memphis, Tenn., and Joy Youngblood of Carrollton, Texas;
two sons, Kenneth of Columbus, Ga., and Daryl and Sharon of Texarkana, Texas;
five step-children, Ronney Hiles of Gueydan, Rickey Hiles of Jennings, Rose and Raymond Jannise and Robert Hiles, all of Lake Arthur;
17 grandchildren, Lane, Adam, Toyah, Tylar, Nina, Jean, Anaice, Valery, Tina, Tara, Sara, Sean, Jessica, Shawntina, Crystal, Cassie and Amy; 17 great-grandchildren;
and special friends, Rufus and Faye Romero and Lynn and Pam Prejean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Annie McBride Youngblood;
one son, Clayton ?Skip? Youngblood;
one sister, Doris Rogers;
one niece, Laureen Willyerd; and
one stepson, Rodney Hiles.
