Natchitoches Times, April 12, 1935 - Obituary - William T. Olive
William T. Olive, 61 years old, died at the Natchitoches Hospital on Monday night, April 1st, at 10:30 o'clock.
Everything that medical skill and human aid could do availed not and Mr. Olive was called to his Heavenly Father's home.
He was a true christian, a member of Beulah Methodist church. He was kind, loving and devoted to his family and loved by all who knew him.
His remains were laid to rest in the Beulah cemetery with Brother Watson officiating. The deceased leaves to mourn his loss his widow,
Mrs. Myrtis Olive, four daughters and one son, Ocie, Mary, Annie, Kate Lee and Edgar; his mother, four sisters, two brothers and a half brother
and twelve grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
None knew him but to love him. None met him but to praise him. I will never forget you. Through all life's weary ways;
You were a gleam of sunshine, Of patience in your pain. Farewell, dear brother, I pray we will meet in heaven once again.
Of, when we lost you, brother, We lost our dearest friend. There never was another More faithful to the end,
With bitter tears we laid you In your cold and lonely grave, But I never will forget you, Though God took the soul he gave.
It broke my heart to give you up-We will miss your smiling face, If we would look this world over There would be none to take your place.
He is gently sleeping, neath the silent ground, Not disturbed by earthly sounds. He is silently sleeping, While all his loved ones still
are weeping,
Always remembered by a brother, ROSS OLIVE
