Russ, you asked what took Alcander from AR to OK. He had been in the lumber business in LA and AR. Eventually that led to my great-uncle, Samuel Rogers Yost ( Lou Ada's child from a previous marriage that Alcander raised), opening a lumber business in Keota, OK. My best guess is that happened around 1910-1920. That business was operated by family until the early 60's when it was sold.
