The marriage record of Joshua and Catherine McNeil is all we have on her name. I don't know where the Mary came from. I have the will of Daniel McNeil before me and he doesn't give her name because she is dead, so we can date her death as "before 23 October 1804" as that is the date the will was written. He just names her Youngblood children: John, Daniel, Anna, and Caty and gives them the same amount as our Amey (still alive of course) got: $214.20. He did not name Catherine nor did he name the mother of his Hoge grandchildren. Same with his McNair grandchildren. As he had a living dau. named Mary Robison, the added name for Catherine would be unlikely. Anyway, the marriage record to Joshua Y. was Catherine McNeil. (One of the witnesses to the will was Wiley Olive.)
Will have some other suggestions later when I get my documents sorted. Sorry to put you to all this trouble! Sleep tight and many thanks. JDOB
