Benjamin HOLMES, Sr (RIN: 2010), son of Elisha Warren HOLMES and Sarah "Sallie" STOVALL , was born 1801 in Lincoln County, Georgia. He married Mary "Nancy" SUMRALL 18 April 1825 in Marion County, Mississippi. He died abt. 1865 in Magee's Creek near Holmesville, Pike County, Mississippi.

Mary "Nancy" SUMRALL (RIN: 2541), daughter of David SUMMERALL and Sarah GIBSON , was born 1808 in South Carolina. She died in Pike County, Mississippi.

Notes for Benjamin HOLMES, Sr:

Benjamin settled on the east side of Magees Creek, two miles north of China Grove, Mississippi. Benjamin was a farmer and bell manufacturer. He made bells by hand in his shop and supplied the surrounding people with plantation bells.This Union lived on the East side of Magees Creek, 2 miles north of China Grove Church and Community There he ran a Foundry and Manufactured Plantation Bells.
